DECIDING WHAT TODAY MEANS
TEXT: James 4:13-15
INTRODUCTION
TODAY MEANS:
1) IÕM SECURE IN MY CREATOR
á And there was evening, and there was morning-- the first day.
Gen 1:5 (NIV)
á This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Ps 118:24 (TLB)
2) I HAVE A CHOICE TO MAKE
á Édecide today whom you will serve, the gods your ancestors worshiped in
Mesopotamia or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are now living. As for
my family and me, we will serve the LORD.Ó Josh 24:14 (TEV)
á Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matt 6:34 (NIV)
3) IÕM CALLED TO ENCOURAGE
á But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness. Heb 3:13 (NIV)
-Heb. 13:8 (HeÕs the same)
CONCLUSION
á Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. Heb 13:8 (NIV)
